THIS TERM WE ARE..Rosebank Kindergarten is focusing on their physical development, and really challenging themselves physically in their outside environment. They will be given multiple opportunities to extend their bodies physically and mentally. The children are also focusing on stepping up and being role models for the younger children, so the older children will be encouraged to help their younger peers challenge themselves physically. For example, the foam shapes, active agents, upper body swings, and the Rosebank school’s obstacle course these are all great ways for our tamariki to challenge themselves physically in a range of ways and push their bodies out of their comfort zone more. Children are also learning about safe practice such as, waiting your turn, taking control over your own body, and knowing when it is safe to jump, run or move.
